Ghosts Over Yuvaulte
The outlawing of arcane magic was created in response to potency and frequency of supernatural phenomena. During the building of Basille shortly after Yuvaulte's founding, church leaders urged the six patrons to make a reformation on spellcasting, conjuring, and witchcraft. While initially hesitant, the six patrons eventually agreed and soon Yuvaulte became gripped with hysteria surrounding the the eradication of any magic user outsider of divine clerics. The death and violence, which would be later refereed to as The Winnowing, sent magic users into exile and hiding. The degree of severity for magic prohibition varied among the six houses with Calloway and Timlivee being the most stringent and Sandowine and Tamerin being the most lenient. The penalty for violation varies based on location, arresting party, and political importance of person arrested.
